Aid to Aid

During the holiday season, we often (hopefully) pause to think about those who are less fortunate than we are.  We think of those who have lost their jobs, their homes, or their health.  For many families, such troubles are worsened by legal difficulties.  These folks don’t even know how to approach an attorney, much less have the ability to pay for much needed legal services.

Fortunately, Legal Aid of North Carolina steps in every day to fill the gap between the impoverished and justice.  Not only do they provide services to individuals, they also have the following statewide projects: Advocates for Children’s Services, Battered Immigrant Project, Domestic Violence Prevention Initiative, Farmworker Unit, and the much needed Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Project.
